The Sauce Cartel serves up a tasy number that should have wide appeal. While not a scorcher, this sauce has a lot to offer. It just needs a wider mouth bottle!
Opening the bottle there's a very strong smell of chipotle peppers. I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between this sauce and chipotle peppers in adobo sauce by smell alone. Given that I'm a sucker for all things chipotle I'm chomping at the bit to get it out of the bottle and on to a spoon. This leads to a problem... Remember those old ketchup commercials where it takes an enterity to get the stuff out of the bottle? Take the ketchup bottle and shrink it's neck! This sauce is thick like water is wet. I hate to keep using ketchup in reference to it but that's what it looks like out of the bottle, ketchup with seeds
Off the spoon, or on the chicken this is some tasy stuff! The chipotles shine through and the sun dried tomatoes balance them with sweetness. The sauce strikes me as something a chef whipped up to accent a meal and decided to bottle. There's not an enormous amount of heat there but it is present. Let's face it, we're talking about a chipotle based sauce not some extract laden habanero butt scorching sauce. If you're looking for someting to prove your manhood move along. If you're interested in a sauce that packs a great flavor with a modicum of spice I reccomend you check out this sauce. The Sauce Cartel 2231 S. James Rd. Columbus, OH 43232 877-483-HELL(4355)
